June 5
Prefishing on the Horseshoe Chain this past Saturday after the driving rainstorm. I had never been to this body of water. It seems to have a bit of everything: pads, wood, rock, clear water, and stained water.
Fishing was a little slow but better than I had expected with rain and thunderstorms in and around all day long. Water temps were in the mid 60s and our best luck was had throwing soft plastics on well defined inside weedlines. We caught about a combined total of about a dozen bass (both largemouth and smallmouth) with the biggest around 2.5 pounds.
We'll see what this body of water can really do on next Sunday's tournament.
