First Sportsmen club tournament was a tough bite. The day before the tournament was cold and rainy. On tournament day water temperature was about 50 and the water was very clear.
I managed to deadstick the MG Lures Rhino Beetle (black blue flake) for 3 bass. The key was letting in sit amongst the scattered weeds. Caught my final bass on Rapala's new X Rap suspending jerkbait (orange). For the day I had 4 bass for 6.19--good enough for a third place finish.

Missouri Bass Trip
April 27- 30
Took a bass trip to Pomme De Terre in Missouri for some spring bass fishing action. This lake is your typical reservoir in this area with flooded brush/timber and rock/gravel as your main structure.
Fishing had been hot the previous week or so. Cold, rainy conditions had dropped water temperatures into the low 50s. Bass were light biting but could be caught.
The biggest bass of my trip pictured here was caught on a MG Lures bug pitched near some flooded brush.
